Victory Baptist Bible Institute

PURPOSE STATEMENT

The Victory Baptist Bible Institute is a higher education ministry of the Victory Baptist Church of Tampa. It is created for the purpose of training men and women to perform effective Christian ministry through local churches in every nation that God may direct His servants to reside. VBBI is committed to teaching the entire Bible as the verbally inspired, inerrant, infallible, authoritative and preserved Word of the Living God.  VBBI stands without apology for the full Deity and humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ, the virgin birth, the sinlessness of the Son of God, the Tri-unity of God, the indwelling ministry of the Holy Ghost, the substitutionary blood atonement of Christ’s death on the cross, the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, the visible second coming of Christ to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords, the resurrection of the saved dead to rewards and eternity in Heaven, and the resurrection of the wicked to face judgment and assignment to the eternal lake of fire and brimstone. We will teach that Satan is a corrupt and fallen angel who exists in rebellion against God, he has led many angels and fallen men to align with him. He hates God’s people (Israel and the church), hates mankind in general, opposes God’s work of redemption, and desires to twist and corrupt the true written word of God, the Bible. God will cast him into the lake of fire and brimstone to receive eternal torments for his wickedness for all eternity.   

Moreover, we believe that people are saved by grace, which is God’s favor on mankind, through faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the cross and His bodily resurrection. Salvation is a turning from dead works to faith in the living God. It makes a person into a new creature with his sins forgiven, and grants him the ability to walk with God by faith, and exercise victory over sin through the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost and knowledge of the word of God.  A saved person is sealed with the Holy Spirit and purchased from Satan’s enslavement by the blood of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit will give each saved believer in Christ a gift with which to honor and serve God. To be baptized with the Holy Spirit is to be placed into the body of Christ (the church) by the action of the Holy Spirit.  Salvation is eternal; however, God will chastise all his children with painful experiences if they forsake the way of Christ. All saved believers are a royal priesthood and have access to God through Jesus Christ who is the Great High Priest.

 Christian Testimony

God commands His people to separate themselves from idols and those that worship idols and other false gods. Therefore all students of VBBI should seek God’s power to remain separated from any organization or movement that promotes false worship, including the ecumenical movement, the Masons, New Age, and occult practices. If any student is involved in any of these organizations or movement, he or she must seek God’s forgiveness, His grace and wisdom and come out from among them immediately. Likewise all students are expected to abstain from the use of alcoholic beverages, illegal narcotics, and smoking.

 DEGREES

VBBI will offer degrees in Ministry, Theology, and Christian Education.

Other degree programs will be offered as staff and assets are added.
